He left Sassoferrato in 1906, at the age of 16, and came to America. He worked in the coal mines in north eastern Penn Scranton. He later came west and met my mother. My family grew up in Salt Lake City. Utah . I have been back to Sassoferrato and love the place. I saw the house where my father, his brother, and three sisters we all born and raised.
